Lead-Hazard Reduction & Healthy Homes

Identification and control of lead-based paint hazards in eligible privately-owned rental and owner-occupied target housing — run under the HUD Lead Hazard Reduction (LHR) Grant Program and Healthy Homes Supplemental funded scopes. Work is positioned to protect children under 6 from lead poisoning and address broader housing health hazards alongside lead treatment, with housing authorities, municipalities, and homeowners pursuing HUD-funded lead-hazard control as the natural fit.

Typical scopes

  • Lead-based paint inspection & risk assessment (paint-by-paint / XRF, dust-wipe sampling)
  • Hazard control & interim controls — component replacement, paint stabilization, enclosure, encapsulation, friction/impact surface treatment
  • Healthy Homes Supplemental interventions — mold/moisture, ventilation, pest, injury hazard remediation paired with lead treatment
  • Clearance & closeout documentation — EPA RRP work practices, post-work dust-wipe clearance, occupant protection plan

Why we fit HUD-funded lead control work

  • 24 CFR Part 35 — Lead-Based Paint Poisoning Prevention in Certain Residential Structures
  • EPA RRP Rule (40 CFR Part 745) — RRP-certified firm and RRP-certified renovator credentials
  • HUD LHR Grant Program alignment — target housing eligibility, child-under-6 / pregnant-woman beneficiary criteria
  • Healthy Homes Supplemental interventions paired with lead treatment rather than run in isolation
