Below is the contracted scope of work for the example accessibility modifications project in Lubbock, TX, completed in May 2026. The scope lines track the same accountable owner, paperwork trail, and crew quality standards as the rest of our residential rehab portfolio.
- Ramp and landing assembly with the rise/run meeting code for the doorway(s) served.
- Doorway widening to 36 inches clear with new jambs and reinforced blocking behind the future grab-bar locations.
- Accessible bathing conversion — roll-in shower base, fold-down seat, and a handheld shower on a slide bar.
- Toilet replacement with an ADA-height unit and reinforcement behind the wall for the grab-bar set.
- Lever-handle hardware and rocker-style light switches at the modified rooms, with slip-resistant flooring pulled tight to the threshold.
Materials and assemblies on this project
Materials were selected against the project’s scope, code requirements, and the homeowner’s written specifications. The list below names the principal assemblies and the families of products that went into the project.
- Quartz countertops and solid-surface edges at the wet areas (where applicable).
- LVP flooring from a Tier-1 manufacturer with attached pad and matching transition trims.
- ENERGY STAR windows and exterior doors flashed and taped to the sheathing.
- Sealed-duct HVAC system right-sized against a Manual J/S/T load calculation.
- Low-VOC paint at all interior surfaces with manufacturer-recommended cure time.
